Check In # 43 - Does it Really need a Name?

Even wilder and wackier than pre-crash Miscellaneous, the survivors talk about the weather, puppies, work, and coffee.

:conf: why make a crazy soda that wouldnt taste good if you were sober? oh well.....
dad kicked a turn again. five mins after i checked in on him he starts hollering and blames me for not being there instantly. when he nfinally calms down enough for me to empty the peepot, he refuses to put his pants back on.... or let me help.... so i leave the room so he can shout at himself for five minutes (he is capable of pulling them up himself anyway) so he presses the lifeline.....
they must get some weird calls - but asking for help because he wont let me help him and doesnt want to diy in pulling his pants up must be a crazy call for them....

Good morning, gang! :hello:

Nothing much (so far) happening here today. Not much happened yesterday. We got some sprinkles, I saw an osprey fly over (big bloody bird  ), and there were some odd lights on the other side of the valley at around 11:00 last night.

But I find just thinking about NOT eating seems to be working so far. Greater efforts will be required, but it's a start, when I weigh myself next I'll let you know.
Good luck!

wastage....would be my answer to that one. why use stuff if you know you wont like what you make?

every five minutes Dad is hollering... this is not going to be easy - ringing the restaurant for food in 30minutes.

I'm not getting done what I need to get done, so maybe if I take a break and go grocery shopping, I'll get it done when I get back.

It's the best plan I have right now. :D

You're having a difficult day. :(

I've never liked it much; maybe because it's so jarringly different from the book.

Sounds like a good one to me.

Other than that, same old, same old. Did my weekly test and only got one wrong again. :D

Tomorrow's Monday all you who work!

It was! Turned out it is BOGO week, and some of the stuff on my wait for BOGO list was available at the actual two for the price of one price, not a price inflated for the sale. And Trader Joe's has an elderflower cheese for its you'll never see it again but you will enjoy it this month special, and it made my mushroom pasta dinner amazing. :yum:

It's a VA hospital day, so later! :hello:

 'mornin' all!

Still rather quiet here. My sister called last night. This month's ailment: memory loss. I told her to call her doctor as usual. And this is the same woman who said a few months back that she was capable to taking care of dad  .
As for today, we have a guy coming out to (try) to fix our oven. It started the bad habit of smoking out the back when it reaches 200 degrees inside.

phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. finally sitting down with my beer! I have been on the go almost 12 hours non stop!
from coffee o clock, i was doing morning trash-birds-laundry-dad chores, then off on my break walk/shop/walk, then souping pa, then when i had 2 hrs of resting with 20-3-0 minutes checks on dad... the phone rang twice, my son appeared, the sill-dweller birds wanted feeding.....i didnt get much rest! then it was getting dad off to the dentist....got him home just over 30 mins ago, but it took a while to settle him in hi8s recliner and remove the gauze.....
now i can relaxxxxxxxxxxxx and enjoy my beer!
