Yay! That's the didgeridoo guy, and the lovely home/studio he is building. I went to Camera West yesterday to learn how to use my video function so I can go back and video a demonstration, which I failed at spectacularly Saturday.
Now I'll try for the tile house.

What a drag. Try copying the contents of the text box before you click Submit, and then if you have to log back in you can just paste it again.Madeliaette wrote:i was signed out when i tried to post a piccie yesterday so gave up.... will wait a day or two then post some.

I think it's wonderful that so many of them are in the Morongo Basin and along Hwy 62. BTW there's a Highway 62 Revisited blog. Haven't seen it yet, but I mean to.RJDiogenes wrote:^^ Those are great. I think it's wonderful how many talented people there are out there in the world.

I can always remember because I relate it to the year I was born.emma glitch wrote:I now get Highway 61 confused with Highway 62.
Cool. Jade Spider Earrings. Sounds like a Shadow novel or something. The spider earrings:
Oh, I see. It was happening before you could even get the code inserted. It should get better. They usually only last a few days.Madeliaette wrote:i wasnt doing text - but loading a pic.....never mind, will try again over the weekend....as it seems tro be improving a tad - i can WRITE today... yeh didgiridoos...

In the post, the picture is represented by BBCode that points to the file-- if the file is successfully uploaded and inserted, you can copy and paste that code just like text.Madeliaette wrote:code inserted? I was trying to load a picture, not code....
It's good that he comes during the day-- it makes it possible to get pictures and videos of him. If he keeps getting nice meals, he'll probably keep coming.here is my cute lil friend again - out and about DAYTIME again - sigh.

Wow, he looks great. I hope I look that good in thirty or forty years. Of course, he's handsomer now than I ever was.jgc wrote:Here's a pic of my dad I took last year with my phone. I didn't realize it would be so big!!
And that creates the code. When you click on the button to place the picture inline, you'll see something like this:Madeliaette wrote:oh i dont know about BBcodes - i upload them via the upload/place inline feature...
[attachment=0 ]pondhog.jpg[/attachment ]
I put extra spaces in there to disable it, but that's basically the code that tells ReNext what to display. If you quote your post with the hedgehog, you'll see it in there.
I hope he's just eccentric and not sick. If he's just hungry, then he'll be okay, since you're feeding him.well so long as the hog isnt sick/starved - because they are nt meant to be out daytime unless they are in trouble.... but maybe i got an eccentric one!!
Well, at least they're having a good time.(actually the frogs think it is spring - they were making courting croaks yesterday...)

Desert Rose Society Rose Show. Yes, the green ones are roses, or so I've been told, but I think I'm going to ask about that.
I googled it, and this makes sense to me:
I googled it, and this makes sense to me:
Green roses have a very unusual anatomy in comparison to other roses, because green rose blooms are made up entirely of sepals. Sepals are the leaves that encircle blossoms on normal rose plants. Instead of producing normal petals, green rose bushes continously grow sepals until the overcrowded foliage resembles a flower.

Yes, that's very interesting. No blossoms, just sepals. It does seem to be petals with no blooming, but I guess maybe sepals are considered part of the flower. I wonder how it reproduces if it has no pistils and stamens.
