Yay, Trunkards!

A new thread for a new beginning, I needed a good omen! Ready or not, I launch Emma Glitch's Reason to Live, because every disabled veteran deserves a fighting chance for a good life, http://www.emmaglitch.com. And, yeah, I'm still way too low on the learning curve, but I gotta get started!

Thanks! I need to update my LinkedIn profile, but I tried to do that early this year. I get discouraged too easily! Before I take my walk, I need to write today's entry, My Veterans Day Wishes. To post it, I will need to add the Veterans page and make it the home page for the day. I can do this!

Ah, there it is. That's why I didn't see it; my bookmark is to the main page. Also, for some reason, it's not listed under "Recent Posts" in the right sidebar.

^I need to figure out how to get the newest post in the spotlight. I haven't even started on any of the stuff on the right side of the screen yet.

Yeah.

Is there a help person at Wordpress you can ask about making new entries show up on the main page? Otherwise, nobody will ever realize when there's a new entry.

I also noticed that you reblogged to Tumblr and I gave it a like.

^Thanks! I read up on photo posting, so I was going to write up the parade and post that photo, but had so much trouble logging in, tried other computer, same problem. Didn't have time to call Time Warner, don't have enough time to do more than check in away from home.

You seem to be having a lot of problems at that site - can i just ask why you chose that site and not one of the other free blogging sites? My free website has tutorials and forum for questions and a help email, my 2 blogging sites have a help email at least....mind you, one doesn't always get back to you...

emma, I recommended that you be asked to be a speaker at next year's Heroes Round Table conference in Michigan. If you're not interested, you can certainly turn down their invitation if they ask you.

But I hope they do ask you, and if so I hope you say yes. It would be a great way to get the word out about the heroic work you do with your blog.

I'll get b ak to you on this, different problems with each laptop, problemw with tracfone, with audiobooks, no0t to mention hands are stiff and hurt, so no editing today. I did try tumblr, had worse problems with it
