Re: What are you watching?
It was hilarious. The subplot was a bit of product placement for Avatar, but it was very well done; it was about Hodgins, Sweets and Fisher camping out to get good seats. Those guys are great.
As for what I'm watching, I watched Alice on Sci Fi the last couple of nights; the second part was better than the first part, but it was definitely a good story.

Re: What are you watching?
I tried the new Hawaii 5-0 and didn't get past the first five minutes (except to fast forward to Grace Park, which turned out to be equally ridiculous).
Let's see: These days I am watching Bones, Supernatural and Sanctuary. I've also been checking out The Walking Dead, which is really good. I also watch Vampire Diaries when I can. And I'm waiting for Warehouse 13, Eureka and Futurama to come back.

Re: What are you watching?
Let's see, our main shows these days ...
North American
- Attack of the Show
- Fringe
There's also a mix of topical shows from the UK (Have I Got News for You, Russel Howard's Good News, TV Burp) and some sketch comedy shows.
We find just enough UK stuff to keep us going. I still need to get through a bunch of Bones eps and try out Warehouse 13. Plus get back into Deadwood, Ashes to Ashes and a few others.

^^ Warehouse 13 has actually become my favorite of the current shows, although Sanctuary is getting really interesting now, especially if you dig Steampunk.

Re: What are you watching?
lol- different tastes, RJ - I lasted 5 minutes into Vampire Diaries, and find Supernatural tedious, even though the lead actor is handsome. I watched one ep of Sanctuary but felt the actors were hammy...not fair to base one's reaction on only one ep, but we all do it.

True, perhaps I should give nu5-0 another try. It took me a bit to get into Vampire Diaries, as well, but there are some interesting things going on. I'm surprised you don't like Supernatural and Sanctuary, though; both of them are outstanding, in my opinion. Have you seen Walking Dead?

I think Walking Dead must be on one of the nights I tutor - heard good things about it though!

Re: What are you watching?
It's really good. It's on AMC, so I'm not sure if that's available in Canada. If it is and you have On Demand, you should be able to catch it.
Re: What are you watching?
I rarely watch any series regulary, I think the only series I sort of follow are NCIS and NCIS L.A. and that because my father and brother watch them.

Re: What are you watching?
Arr! So there is.
I think there was another one, too. Based on a famous pirate. I'm sure I saw an episode somewhere, on a DVD of old, forgotten shows or something. Can't remember. Must research....

I think this is it:

I'm pretty sure I saw an episode on a DVD that my parents got a couple of years ago. It was a collection of holiday episodes of old TV shows.

Re: What are you watching?
damn looks like it might have been cool! I found the youtube version of Dead Man's Chest which was the opening theme for this series apparently but it's sung by a choir [in rounds for pity's sake!] so I didnt post it here. There was a poster who made the following observation three years ago about this, and that I will post:
I am a pirate, and I think I speak for us all, when I say that pirate songs should never ever EVER be sung by nuns.
That is all.

Re: What are you watching?
Currently watching Garrow's Law (which you should watch if it pops up on the BBC world channel - it's about a pioneering 17th century lawyer at the Old Bailey - sounds dull, but it's based on a real story and real cases, and the brutality of some of it will make you weep. Also watching Hawaii 5-0. And Dexter. Gave up on Supernatural a few series back, when they turned Dean into a caricature of his original cool self! I don't really watch much telly now - prefer to get the old Xbox 360 fired up!

I think Supernatural is still cool. I love Cass.
Garrow's Law sounds very interesting. I love Historical stuff. I'll have to see if it's on BBC America.

Re: What are you watching?
I literally just discovered JUSTIFIED last night...it stars Tim Olyphant as a US Marshall and it's set in the southern USA. He is a very complicated character. Some very funny writing...the manners of southern boys when they are deciding when to shoot each other is hilarious.... Have seen 3 eps so far of Season1 and quite like it. Season 2 starts Feb. 9th.
And Pam from True Blood was on as a baddie !

Re: What are you watching?
^^ I never heard of that one. Is it a Canadian show?
I will probably give Being Human a try. It premieres tonight on Sciffy (based on a BBC show of the same name). I'm kind of iffy about how it looks, but it has a Werewolf character, so I'm interested enough to take a peek.

Re: What are you watching?
going to watch the re-run of a documentary about Gilgamesh and ancient Iraq tonight. Missed the first half hour yesterday when it first aired. The rest was very good, though.
