with me the spider always wins :) I never kill them but just relocate them to where they are useful and out of my way.

heehee, I never looked at it from that angle but you're certainly right.

I don't get the Mary / Rhoda connection. Can you explain, please?

^^ Exactly. :D In the other contests, there's a clear winner-- but for Mary and Rhoda, it's a tie. :)

The movie wasn't so great, but the TV show was a classic.

And why do my graphics keep disappearing? It looks like Amazon will not be working out as a host.

I recommend Lunarpages as a host. They have a few very cheap and simple offers. I host my boards for about 140$ a year. Which reminds me that I must update my credit card number as I get billed in November

I prefer free. :D I have storage space at Amazon as part of my Amazon Prime membership, but it won't do me much good if the links aren't stable. I suppose I can just use Photobucket.

not all that silly if you consider that a classmate of me translated as pinchnail.
btw, my own name translates as "comes from where the shrubs were cut back" - not exactly ingenious either :D

On Tumblr, my copyright notice appears right beneath the cartoon every week, so hopefully most people did get it. :D

Apparently it means heart, mind or spirit.

Extremely apt if I may say so. :)

You guys.

Thanks for that link. That's a fascinating page, and I didn't know any of that before. This especially caught my eye:
Richard Huchins in the Subsidy Rolls of Worcestershire in 1327
:D

Interestingly, the statistics page says:
Historically, the name has been most prevalent in the Northeast, especially in Maine. Hutchins is least common in the midwestern states.
But Massachusetts seems to be an exception to that. And there appear to be no Hutchins at all in North Dakota. :D
