Quelle Surprise - More Republican fail!

#1 Post by PhoenixHope » October 22nd, 2009, 11:39 pm

Now I admit I should probably be really raging about this, but the only thought that circles in my head is "republicans, naturally."

Why?

Republicans For Rape
And it isn't just Republicans, apparently the DoD (Department of Defense) is also on board!

Granted I am annoyed, but not honestly surprised that my states Senator is on that list.
(But he'll probably be in office forever, because my little corner of the world keeps voting Republican no matter how badly it hurts them/us.)

The reason I'm not in a rage is because the vote against this passed, but come time when the &@$!@^#$ on this list are up for re-election I will be expecting to see ads against them including their support of corporate sponsored rape.
Not really a surprise, this is just a smaller scale than the rape of every American by corporations that elected Republicans support all the time, but somehow is WAY more offensive than the normal "rape" they support.

You sane Republicans (and I know you are out there) need to stage an uprising against the insane politicians of your party.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to have fun (or inspire actual rage) by reading the rest of the RfR website.
(Yes, I know the site itself is satirically supporting rape, but it could still make me rage.
UPDATE: The site did not make me rage, which is probably just as well because this really is one of those "if you don't laugh, you'll cry" things.
)

Finally, I started to post this in the news section, cause Senators supporting rape really should be news, but I decided to post here in case someone (anyone) else wanted to get their rage on.
For the record, THIS is the site I would've linked if I'd decided to post this in news.

But the one "person" in all this that I'd like to have the right to rape isn't a Republican at all! Nope, the person who needs to sign a contract for me is Senator Dan Inouye (a Hawaii Democrat). Why? You ask. Click the link and see...
I suppose I could take comfort in the fact that he's probably being pressured by his corporate masters, but that isn't enough! Not nearly enough.

Come on, Dan, don't be a pussy, come on over here and sign this nice phat contract I have for you. Afterwards if you still feel like supporting this BS... Well, there's always other enticements.

PS - That last link is NOT to satire site, but an actual news site.
Thought it was important to include at least one so folks know this is something that really is going on.

PPS - This makes me even more glad than I all ready was that McCain DID NOT become our new PotUS back in 08.
That's right, Senator McCain voted against the right of rape victims to seek justice. That's real swell, Senator. F()*% U! <- if you can't figure out what I typed there, then you aren't trying hard enough. *grin*

[JedClampet voice]Well, lookie here...[/end]

Rape Victims Choice: Risk AIDS or Health Insurance?

Looks like our good friends at the insurance companies are only a step behind the Gaggle of 30 for Rape!

*sigh* And the insurance companies wonder why no one is jumping on board their bandwagon that things are fine. Just like the Republicans can't seem to understand why people aren't agreeing with their positions on the issues lately.

Seriously, after this and now this how can you remotely support the idea that everything (health-wise) is perfectly fine as it is?

Yes, the link about the "fat" baby is from FOX NEWS, I couldn't help myself, when I saw them reporting actual news I got all excited. Welcome back to land of actual news FOX, you've been missed.

Oh, and here's some more juicy dirt on our beloved Dem Senator from Hawaii!

*drools*

Now more than ever I want this little bad boy to stop being such a pussy and get over here and sign this contract I have for him. You hear me? I got something real special planned for you. It'll be a good party, with lots of guests, and there will be some snacks - you don't wanna miss it. But first you gotta sign on the dotted line.

How the hell old is Inouye, anyway? He's been in office since before I was born.

I propose that nobody ever vote for a Republican ever again. And then when we get rid of them, we can start looking for replacements for the Democrats.

Shoot 'em all, let God sort 'em out?

Sorry, but that's all I got. Though on a more serious note, not all our government folks are complete idiots, not even all the elected Republicans, but I don't think the US government is a government for the people by the people anymore.

Corporations simply have to much power and influence for our government to be what it was meant to be. It just annoys me greatly when that stops being something our elected idiots stop trying to hide.

A)Not all Republicans or Conservatives are Bible-thumping Klansmen that want to keep all women in the home making babies.

B)Not all Democrats are atheist, socialist, hippies.

For the record, I consider Oklahoma to be a backwards state giving the rest of the country a bad reputation. After all, a few years ago, the Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled in a sexual harassment case that a woman has no expectation of privacy underneath her skirt.

Yeah, that's one of those WTF things.

To die, in the rain.

*grins* I know, and I don't even hate all of the thirty Repubs on the list, I just think they picked the worst time ever to vote against something like this. For some reason I just expected some (like McCain) to be smarter than that.
