Re: SKYFALL
I haven't seen any of the Craig Bonds yet, although someone gave me the Casino Royale DVD. I've heard that the characterization of Bond in Skyfall was particularly good.

Re: SKYFALL
it really is...props to the director for having the actor work it that way....also, "the bad guy" and "M" showed more depth and human foibles than in past productions...
SHINY!

Re: SKYFALL
This inspires me to dig out my Casino Royale DVD over the long weekend. I need to get up to speed on Bond.

Re: SKYFALL
I crack myself up sometimes. This morning I went to get my Casino Royale DVD to give it a watch-- and it turned out to be not Daniel Craig, but Barry Nelson. It was an episode of the TV series Climax! from 1954, also starring Peter Lorre. It was much more faithful to the book Bond, although the story was sanitized considerably for 1950s television (as you can imagine if you ever read the book). It was quite entertaining, just for Peter Lorre alone.
But now, after ignoring the Daniel Craig Bond movies for several years, I have a real hankering to see them, because I wasn't able to.

Re: SKYFALL
He was amazing. I also saw him recently in that episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents where he bet Steve McQueen his finger that his cigarette lighter wouldn't light ten times in a row.
