You know, I groand when I saw his post in this thread. I thought, "oh great, there he goes again..." Then he played the "just kidding" card.

Re: Namechanges
For consistency across the internet I'd really like my nick changed from "_dane" to "trekkiedane".
Is that even possible?

We've got a reprogrammed T-800 Terminator as robo tender in Harry's Bar, his accent is lousy but he has a mean cocktail and a well stocked bar.
Also his coffee is great.

Re: Namechanges
That description reminded me of this description:
From a novel I read every now and then and still consider one of the three best SciFis ever
Last board where I was a member (and mod) had an owner with a wicked sense of humour: One day I couldn't log on (at first) and found that I had been re-named: trekkiedane [Bot] -had to make a 'robot'-emoticon in my new (mod-)colour, purple, on the spot
Well-stocked bar, you say, think he can make me an "Aviaton" -I've had some trouble locating one of the ingredients you see
The Chatsubo was a bar for professional expatriates; you could drink there for a week and never hear two words in Japanese.
Ratz was tending bar, his prosthetic arm jerking monotonously as he filled a tray of glasses with draft Kirin. He saw Case and smiled, his teeth a webwork of East European steel and brown decay.
/.../
The antique arm whined as he reached for another mug. It was a Russian military prosthesis, a seven-function force-feedback manipulator, cased in grubby pink plastic.

Re: Namechanges
with me it's just the other way round: I have a different name on almost every board. When a decade ago I went throug the same unpleasantness as you did (just on a slightly larger scale, being flamed by dozens of "friends" and bullied by an Admin), this habit came rather handy as it allowed me to enjoy at least a little peace and quiet on some remote boards.
Currently I use Huggle here (Santy used to huggle everyone in chat, a decade ago, and I liked the word), Rhubarbodendron on TrekBBS (the result of a tongue twister in Terranchat), mare_serenitatis on Andromeda-related boards (my old Seti-handle which fitted the space theme), gentle_current (fits my mood and my job) on Twitter & youtube, and The Call of Nature on Trollkingdom (partly because it's such a shitty board, partly because it's also a reference to my job).
Old names include batlh (Klingon word for honour, a virtue I much appreciate), Dargh (Klingon tea), L'Ursa (a Klingonized variation of my real name), Chronos (time itself, the oldest of the Greek gods), Batgirl (a reference to Freakish American Batboy, one of my favourite posters) and Jane Marple

And to think that I have a problem keeping all the passwords straight - I shudder to think if I also had to come up with new nicks for every board!
"Psychatrist", really?
