I always thought the Irish were mostly grey-eyed? I have green eyes, too (see picture thread) =)
I'm Irish, for pete's sake.
Patrick's sake! Irish as in British province or Irish as in Eire? And shouldn't you rather be Fionn mac Cumhaill then, than a nordic deity?

This Internet ain't big enough for the both of me.
Re: When is your birthday?
Ireland is not a "British" province. A "UK" province perhaps, but the UK's full title is The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - Northern Ireland is not included in Britain, just the UK.
Re: When is your birthday?
IC. It's rather complicated. Does the term UK include the commonwealth as well?

I'm pretty sure it includes Mutual of Omaha.
Oh, no, wait, that's Wild Kingdom. Never mind.

Not anymore.
Also, my family came from the Republic. the County Clare, to be precise.
Not one of those Sasanach-lovin' northerners.

July 8th
Re: When is your birthday?
you're lucky! You always get nice weather.
Mine is April 15th - in 48 years I had two sunny b-days, one with a blizzard and the other 45 were rainy.

^^ Tax Day!
July 8th is pretty good. It's about halfway through the year from Christmas, so your two "present days" are evenly spread out.
My birthday is halfway through the year from Halloween. I've been thinking about promoting it as "Science Fiction Day" to add balance to the universe.

Re: When is your birthday?
in catholic Bavaria you have three present days: Christmas, birthday and Patron saint's day.
as my patron saint's day is in October, the 3 are divided pretty evenly throughout the year.
Depending on which Richard you are named after, yours would be February 7th (King Richard of England) or April 3rd (Bishop Richard of Chichester).

I'm just named after my father. I don't think anyone thought it through more than that.

April 18. A while back I penned a few lines of "Listen, my children, I'm sure you itch to hear of the birth of emma glitch...."
Saint's day for Therese of Lisieux seems to be October 1st, though I didn't know that growing up.
