CBS has announce they be a new Star trek series in Jan 2017.

I reserve judgement and comment until I see the imtline, Cast, ship and storyline.........

The JJ films are to go forward with the one in 2016 and another in 2019.

and given they many Fan projects online Trek I hope has a good year in 2016.

Im holding judgement yet I agree if they do the JJ era Ill be dispointed yet rumors are its not going to be the JJ crew and possible another ship in that era or possible Starfleet academy? Yet still early need more info

Set on the USS ENTERPISE 100 year after the NG era and the ship Computer an AI

Sounds like Andromeda to me yet what I had been wishing for if true.

Well it doesn't have Marines or navy seals like action as some have suggested as they watch too much HALO so we see?

There is a new Poster from CBS and the series called Star Trek Prime and the ship in the poster looks a lot like the ENTERPRISE E. Would be nice if its an updated version like the Sulus Ship class lasted in the 25th century from the movie era, No reason why Picard cant?

Well here is some rumors online I found from interviews Bryan Fuller did and what he like to do with the new series.

One set the Crew on board the USS RELIANT

Two as Command officers either Angela Bassett or Rosario Dawson as Captain or XO (1st officer)

Although he wants to do TNG era he like the JJ universe so I worry about that.

Yet he such a big fan and did a cameo in Nemesis we can hope he does it right.


again as my Starfleet club CO says rumors are many so take this as that for now.

Yeah, I don't think we know anything for sure yet. But it will be on the air in 11 months, so we should be finding out soon.

Another Name being meition with the new series is Tony Todd who best know playing Worf Brother Kurn.

Rumor is hes being considered as a regular as what I don't know yet If they make him security he would remind people of Mike Dorn I feel so we will see?

Tony Todd is in his 60s. He's a little old for security. Maybe he'll be a recurring Admiral or something.

And Nicholas Meyer has signed on as a writer and consultant.
