Yeah, the show really needs to stop treating its supporting characters so badly....

Before the episode aired that's what I was assuming - during the episode I don't even know it seemed no different. Well, fine, she could talk through them and I can't remember if she did that the first time or not.

Supernatural 11x20 Don't Call Me Shurley

Hmm!

Admittedly I'm not surprised at the reveal here, I've long suspected if Supernatural brought the big G in then they'd use Chuck, so I was right (and if that wasn't enough the title kinda gave it away), though admittedly unsure how I really feel about it.

Seriously, I didn't hate it, but can't say I loved it either. Then I got distracted because Dean ironed Sam's shirt with beer, and I don't even know why but I totally loved that.

But here's the weird thing just as He's about to FINALLY explain about the damn amulet (which I honestly don't care about, but damn it I'm tried of fandom endlessly bitching about it) MetaBore stops him and that just makes me hate him even more than I already did. But then earlier in the episode he gave up his meal to the dog and I started to love him so that was a bit of a quick spin.

Anyway, we finally get into the case of the week, and while I love looking at Dean and Sam I find myself kinda wanting to read that damn book! UGH! Then the comment about Bugs and I can't stop laughing. Sorry - I feel horrible - okay, not really. And still I'd like to read the book. Yes, both of them.

And you know I'm actually (and this shocked me, really it did) but I'm actually more than okay with this being more about MetaBore and Chuck than Dean and Sam, and me being okay with light Dean/Sam episode does NOT happen very often, and I NEVER though it would happen when the lightness was in any way related to MetaBore.

UGH! I'm actually starting to think I might like MetaBore after all. UGH! I mean even if he doesn't accomplish his on the fly mission I have to give him many bonus points for pulling his big boy pants up and making some rather good points. DAMN IT!

Whatever. Ultimately I'm not sure how I feel about various aspects of the episode, but in the overall I think I liked it so I'm going to avoid rewatching it for awhile, because if I rewatch I know me I'll start taking it apart and I'm not ready to do that yet. I liked it and right now that's good enough for me.

I thought it was great. I was pretty sure that Chuck was God, but I never expected them to explicitly say so-- unless it was in the final episode. He even mentioned that he's lost count of how many times he's reassembled Castiel. :D For an omnipotent being, there were a lot of things he didn't know. Or claimed he didn't know.

But it was a terrific conversation between Megatron and Chuck, showing that Megatron has experienced some growth (and will never be an Angel again). Chuck made some interesting comments, like Lucifer was never his favorite (though he defended him). And he didn't even want to talk about his sister. :D

But now he's ready to become an involved God again. He even resurrected all those people in the town. I can't wait to see if he reunites with his sister and Lucifer and Castiel.

Maybe he'll become a Man of Letters and be a regular next season.

I like Chuck, I really do, BUT I SURE AS HELL HOPE WHAT YOU SAID DOES NOT HAPPEN. Seriously. But in reality this is Supernatural and that would be just the kind of silly move they'd make. However, I think the prologue in this episode suggests that in taking on his sister he may end up out himself.

But you are wrong about one thing:
RJDiogenes wrote:And he didn't even want to talk about his sister. :D
He did - he said it was her time to shine, which means he might feel bad about the whole thing even though he probably didn't have a choice if he wanted to do the unfettered creation thing.

Which is kinda why I'd love to read that second book, but again I'd still kinda like to see the first one.

I was just kidding. I don't think they'll really do it. But it's fun thinking about how it would work. Chuck always answers prayers-- but sometimes the answer is no. :D Actually, one of his chapters was that he never answers prayers, but either way you'd never know if he'd be in a helping mood or not. :D
However, I think the prologue in this episode suggests that in taking on his sister he may end up out himself.
That's what I'm thinking, too. Like that episode of TOS.
He did - he said it was her time to shine, which means he might feel bad about the whole thing even though he probably didn't have a choice if he wanted to do the unfettered creation thing.
That's true. First he said he didn't want to talk about her, then he said it was her time to shine. He had a similar reaction to Lucifer. First he said he was never his favorite, then he defended him. I hope they all meet face to face before it's over. :D

Supernatural 11x21 All in the Family

So, we FINALLY get an answer to the question asked several episodes ago - did Amara kill Lucifer/Castiel? But it didn't happen early in the episode.

And if you blink you'll miss Kevin and frankly comes off a bit cult-y, but I guess that's okay since he ends up sent directly to heaven. This is followed by babbling Sam, which was more awesome than I expected. And it works that Sam is really thrilled and Dean is so much less than thrilled - perfectly in character.
(Still I think Dean needs to read Chuck's second autobiography.)

ANYWAY, after (for once) awesomely sad Dean we FINALLY get to Amara Lucifer/Castiel and she hasn't killed him yet because she wants him to beg daddy to come save him. Lucifer ain't interested in playing her game he'd rather play his own.

So we're back to Chuck who just wants a shower. But Dean tries to get a Castiel rescue and Chuck flat-out refuses. However, I think Amara can sense that He's back, and so tiring of Lucifer's games she considers eating his not-soul. Then instead she decides to taunt Dean with Castiel's health or lack thereof - I think it was a vision type of thing and she wasn't really there, but who the hell knows at this point.

So the answer apparently is that she's toyed with him for weeks, which I don't know seems strange, but I guess she buys into the theory that Luci is His favorite so she figures a little rough and tumble might bring Him around. She doesn't know that He thinks Luci has probably already sided with her and is refusing to walk into that trap.

She unleashes her fog, because that's worked so well for her at drawing him out so far. I'm starting to think she's a little dense, but I guess being locked away for the better part of forever might be responsible for that.

Anyway, apparently Chuck has left Dean and Sam unsupervised, which I think is probably a bad idea, but okay. And this is after him keeping Dean awake by singing after or during his taking of a super long shower.

Then we head to Metatron drunk in a bar and he's watching the report from the last town you know the one where Dean, Sam, and Chuck was, so Metatron calls Dean/Sam. He's got something to show them, and please ignore the writer in the corner giggling like a twelve year old.

On the way to meet Metatron Sam and Dean stop to talk to the one survivor of the most recent fog who not only survived but only because he's a prophet and I had a moment of confusion thinking Amara was now choosing prophets and thought that was a bit weird, but no turns out he's just a regular prophet. So prophets and Dean are immune to her fog.

Then Amara appears to Dean wanting a meeting alone - I don't think they are going to make the meeting with Metatron - at least not in this episode. *sigh* This kind of annoys me since I believe he has information they need.

Then I realize the episode is only about half over - it kinda feels like it's gone on longer. Still on the whole I liked this episode, but I don't think I liked it as much as the previous episode. If for no other reason than I'm typing much more as I watch instead of watching and then typing afterward. Again though it's not a bad episode in fact it's probably one of the better ones. Though since I'm only after half-way through the episode it might be too early to say that.

So Dean returns to give Chuck the news and finds him in shorts watching Dean's PC and so Dean is embarrassed about his porn stash which was of course found and again I chuckled. Sam finally brings the prophet in. And while I liked the meeting the newest prophet was much less enthralled with Chuck.

Oh and I was wrong turns out Dean and Sam do make time to meet Metatron after all. And after some penis measuring they get down to business. And as expected Chuck is planning to meet Amara, though according to Metatron he's planning to let her kill him. They, as expected, don't believe him so Metatron hands over the book I mentioned Dean needed to read so here we are. However, apparently the second autobiography is more of a suicide note at least according to Metatron - obviously I've not read the book myself.

But it's apparently true and comes out when Dean confronts Chuck. And I don't think it's suicide - he's planning a trade and thinks she's gonna cage him like he was caged - Dean has doubts, of course. Dean tries to explain Amara's plan, but Chuck thinks if his plan doesn't work humans will step up. But Dean wants Chuck to do it and then retire, and I just kinda want to both slap and hug Dean right now.
(Like I said it makes sense that Dean thinks this world sucks and yet fights for it anyway - I kinda think if he had Chuck's or even Death's perspective he'd just jump over a cliff.)

DAMN IT! I'm really starting to like Metatron, and it seemed weird until I realized I never really hated Metatron I just found myself bored by the character more often than not, so I guess it makes sense when they start making him interesting I start getting interested - that won't happen with a character I actually loathe. Anyway, they hatch a rescue plan and now I'm chuckling because their plans - seriously.

Then it gets weird - Dean tries to break up with Amara, which I get is all part of the distraction, but really. I think he should probably just sleep with her, because unless he's the minute man that would probably be less obvious a distraction. I'm just saying I don't understand why she didn't catch on right away, because obvious was obvious here.

So the rest of the team (New Prophet, Metatron, and Sam) gets to Lucifer and he's still playing games, but something about his condition gets to Metatron, and turns out Lucifer is not even close to siding with Amara and is pretty very damn angry with her. So Metatron goes through his spells trying to find one that'll help not with the anger but with the getting him free.

Anyway the jist of the break-up scene is that I don't think Dean and Amara will ever be able to understand each other even as much as they might want each other. Amara thinks consuming Dean will be awesome - Dean is much less than enthralled about basically being sucked out of existence. However, she FINALLY looks into his eyes and realizes he's seen Chuck and knows Dean has betrayed her and she's shocked I tell you, which proves she doesn't know/understand him at all.

*sigh* So they finally free Lucifer and Metatron stays behind to be the hero, and that goes about as well as you'd expect - I think she literally blacked him out of existence. Then she tracks down the Impala with the Prophet and the rescued Lucifer. Sam tries to drive away from her. Kinda like their long ago plan of outrunning angels in heaven.

Thankfully, and I'd bet mostly because the show has already been renewed Chuck brings the Impala back to the bunker with all inside while Amara is busy insisting none are worth sparing and preparing to Metatron them. So they are home while Dean's out in the woods somewhere by himself.

Chuck heals Lucifer and Lucifer like me seems unsure what to make of this, and this was kinda the part of the episode I was looking the most forward to, so (of course) after the ad break we jump to a fairly useless scene of Dean and Sam saying bye to the prophet somewhere outdoors. Thankfully it's not all a waste because Dean actually tells Sam that Amara wants him, but not him she wants him to be a part of her, which to Dean and me would seem more than a little like death.

And that's it until next week. And just in case you're wondering I stand by my half-way thoughts on the episode, though it was admittedly harder to keep typing during the second half.

Yeah, great episode. It doesn't quite have the literally OMG shock value of last week, but still great. I love God's characterization. Sitting around in his underwear, singing old Folk tunes in the shower, eating Chinese food. My kinda God. :D

It was nice to see Kevin again and to see him get his just rewards-- but just what were those rewards? Did Chuck just send him to Heaven, or did he do something else? He mentioned an "upgrade."

I loved Dean's tearful challenge to Chuck and Chuck's assertion that things have indeed gotten better.

The new prophet was pretty amusing, but it was kind of strange that they just sent him away in a taxi. These guys really don't want anybody in their bunker. Not only would he probably be useful, but Amara probably will kill him.

And Metatron really took one for the team-- he appears to have been de-existenced. I wonder if even God could bring him back from that.

Then, finally, God and Lucifer meet. Awkward for both of them. But-- to be continued. I can't wait for that. And I also can't wait for Castiel to be restored and meet God.

Supernatural 11x22 We Happy Few

So, Lucifer turns into a teenager and I'm like waiting for something interesting to happen because this is bullshit and not giving me big hopes for this episode.

*sigh* Switching to Crowley trying to convert laughing demons to his side is also stupid and UGH! BLAH BLAH BLAH Demons walk away cause who cares about hell when everything is ending.

Okay, Chuck cooking breakfest (or whatever) for Dean and Sam while they try to talk him into giving Lucifer the words he wants was a bit interesting.

UGH! NO! Rowena is NOT what this episode needs. On the other hand, she seems to want another witch to help her stop the end of the world, but all I see is SNIP SNIP SNIP But when I did tune in I realized she's not interested in stopping the end of the world she wants to go back to the past so she can live longer. So, okay, makes more sense than her wanting to stop the end of the world.

Her and her witch friend agree and I'm assuming off to get what they need for the spell.

*sigh* Dean and Sam are trying to play peacemaker between Chuck and Lucifer which should be amusing, but it's really just not. And seriously UGH!

So here's what happens Lucifer just wants an I'm sorry, but Chuck won't say what he doesn't feel. And, okay, it IS better than that makes it seem. At least once we stop pissing around and actually get into it, though it is still rather very sad overall. Did enjoy Dean's thoughts on the whole "I'm sorry" thing, though. Not sure how I feel about Dean and Sam being banished form the conversation, though it was a needs must kind of thing since Chuck and Lucifer do come to a sort of peace. So, you know, FUCKING FINALLY!

Then they have to explain to Dean and Sam about balance, and really shouldn't they know about that by this point - I mean it only took Buffy seven years to get to the whole universal balance thing. The jist Chuck really can't kill Amara but he can cage her again, but he needs some bodies to make that happen. And I don't mean bodies as in corpses but people or more than people.

Also good when Dean sneaks in Crowley's personal space and Crowley thinks Dean wants to get the ol' bromance going again. But that's not why Dean is there - poor drunk sad Crowley. I want badass Crowley back or I want him to be exploded!

Apparently, while Dean goes to hell Luci goes to heaven, but heaven ain't fond of him so he lets Cass speak, but Cass isn't really any more favored than Luci among the Angels, so yeah I think you-know-who may have to make an appearance here.

Sam gets the witches and so sneaks in on Rowena and she wants to turn him into an actual moose and I'm a bit sorry that doesn't happen to tell the truth, but the other witch in the room is powerful enough to see that Rowena can't DO Sam at the moment. I like her so she's probably doomed while the show dicks around more with Rowena.

Dean wants to compel everyone to cooperate, but Chuck is all FREE WILL FOR ALL! Still it seems they are allowed to play the big G card. And while that doesn't work on Rowena her new partner is interested. Cass is trying to get the Angel's onboard, but they seem more reluctant than the Christian Witch. Christian Witch shows her cards telling her that there is hope, so I think they're on board.

Crowley just wants to drink because nobody likes him anymore so Dean talks him into being Crowley again.

And once all is onboard Dean still wants to kill Amara. And now Dean is under the microscope and it is beautful and Dean admits he wants her dead because she has power over him. Sam argues for simply doing things God's way and the forces are starting to come together while the newest prophet is being tortured by Amara for you-know-who's location. She just ends up sucking his soul and realizes there's no place like home aka Kansas.

She doesn't destroy the bunker but she does take down some warding with her entrance, but the place is empty. Oops apparently not - we jump back in time to the planning and it seems Chuck took down his own warding so Amara can snoop around while waiting for Chuck to make his grand entrance.

In the past they, of course, argue and it is better than it really should be, honestly. Then the big secret is revealed that Sam has agreed to take the mark and Dean is very very unhappy about this, but Sam talks him into it, because needs must.

Back in the now Amara is snopping and Rowena greets her but not exactly in person. Then it is in person, but Amara knows it is a trap so Rowena is in some danger, but never fear this time Rowena does have a coven behind her. Well, you know, until Amara turns it back on them, and yet Rowena lives while the others die and I'm like of course we can't have interesting side characters they must all be over the top.

Still while Amara is weak the demons come to bedevil Amara and do forgive me but I simply could NOT resist that pun. Crowley joins to deliver a punch that knocks her into a car.

Finally, Amara stumbles into where ever the hell they are because she really wants that chat. She gets stabbed by Lucifer/Cass for her troubles. This fight is clearly not going her way, but there's about fifteen minutes to go so I am not ready to assume it is over for her.

The siblings talk and for one moment I thought maybe they'd find peace, but then Chuck starts the spell Amara and Sam feels it, but Amara is NOT going back into her cage - she'd rather just be killed (and you know I really do understand that), but Chuck won't and so Amara gains the upper hand, and Dean begs, but she doesn't stop and there's an explosion of light and it would seem Chuck is dead.

DAMN ADS!

Anyway I was right he's not dead yet, but he is apparently dying, but Amara isn't going to let him die until she makes him watch the end of the world. And that's how the episode ends with the sun setting and it is kinda beautiful. But COME ON! I mean seriously she was beaten up half-dead and then she spins on a dime to emerge the victor - NOT BUYING IT! Just no!

Of course, it ain't over yet, but the promos leave me little hope that you-know-who is playing possum. However, I'm certain the world (of Supernatural) will continue, because you know it was RENEWED, so... On the other hand, after giving it some thought this wouldn't be a bad way at all for Supernatural to end - it ends with the world, you know.

Finally, there is one other thing I must call bullshit on - for some reason Amara kills Lucifer but leaves Cass all intact, which is bullshit, because really it would have to be easier to just blow 'em both up. But whatever!

However, my final thought is that I have to say Misha Collins is apparently a better actor than I've been giving him credit for, because to my surprise you could tell the difference between Luci and Cass - just don't ask him to cry, because honestly seeing him in some other thing where he had to pull of tears was the very thing that made me think maybe he wasn't quite as good as some gave him credit for.

I thought it was pretty good, although not as good as the last two-- but what could be? But this is chapter three of four, so if the ending is strong, then all will be well.

I thought Lucifer reverting to adolescence in the presence of his Parent was pretty funny. I've known many people who do that. And their whole conversation and reconciliation was very good-- including the Winchesters trying to be counselors. I just wish that Cass could have formally met God. And the meeting between Crowley and God was not very momentous at all.

The battle against Amara was pretty impressive. Witches, Angel light, Demon smoke-- and then Crowley joining the fray. But I don't think we know what happened to him. I don't think they showed him after that. Rowena survived, but was acting strangely. Another friend suggested that Chuck switched places with Rowena and that's part of the plan.

Good stuff. I hope the ending lives up to the beginning.

Supernatural 11x23 "Alpha and Omega"

Supernatural 11x23 "Alpha and Omega" (Season Finale)

Episode Description
(From My DISHGuide)
God's decision about Amara has direct repercussions on Sam and Dean.
*sigh* This started as a quick question and then I started rambling. *sigh*

Anyway, while I'll still follow them, I think Supernatural fans have very little to fear from ratings at this point - i.e. low or high ratings probably won't cause the end of Supernatural, though obviously the CW would like them to stay on the high end.

At this point the most likely reason for Supernatural to come to an end would be because Jensen and Jared decide to call it quits. Of course, there is one other potential thing and that would bring it to an even more abrupt end than Jensen and Jared calling it quits and that would be when (if) the WB stops making money on Supernatural.

However, all things considered I think it's more likely Jensen and Jared would say no long before the WB started losing money on it. But I admit that I'm less good at predicting things outside of ratings.

So at this point the more important factors will be info that we on the outside won't have access too. And in that case unless Jensen and Jared announce they are done the end of Supernatural might be hard to see coming.
(Because if WB/CBS (and while most seem to think CBS forced this move I think its far more likely CBS just canceled Supergirl and the WB actually forced this since they are the ones who actually own Supergirl) can force the CW to pick up Supergirl then the WB will no doubt force the CW to keep picking Supernatural up as long as they can profit on the show.)

Profit over ratings - basically. As long as the WB is making money on it they'll make the CW keep picking it up, because strictly speaking they don't care if the CW loses money on it they only care if they themselves lose money on it.
Tim (needs lighter): ...and none of you smoke.
Art (looks at armada): Nobody smokes? This is Kentucky, not Sausalito. What's wrong with you people!
(per capita in KY toss a cat u'll hit a smoker! So that's where Justified puts the fiction in the show.)

Supernatural 11x23 Alpha and Omega

So when we pick up Amara's gone so Dean and Sam pull themselves together to check on Cass and you-know-who - Cass reveals that Lucifer is gone but they don't say dead. However, Amara did say goodbye to him (previous episode), but it is curious that they don't say dead.

Anyway, you-know-who feels like the bug that hit the windshield, Dean pulls a gun on Rowena, and Crowley just snarks until Rowena directs their attention to outside where the sun is setting probably forever - or well not since the show has been renewed.

You-know-who takes everyone back to the bunker and advises them not to bury him because he's not dead yet.

Cass wants to know what we do now, and I suggested smoke 'em if you got 'em, and Dean is sorta with me with except for him it's drink 'em if you got 'em. And honestly in their position at that point I'd being trying all the drugs and shit I once passed on because I wanted to live!

Now for some reason we are in London and really I feel we are wasting time, but the show feels this is worth it for some reason and so I wait, while she watches a news report about the sun. News report says nothing to worry about and at least she's smart enough to call bullshit, but you know in a British way.

She gets a phone call and heads to the basement where she stares at her stalker wall full of images of Dean and Sam, or I guess maybe it's her fangirl wall - I wouldn't know as I have nothing like that at all. THAT is my story and I am sticking to it.

After the ads Dean, man after my heart that he is, decides he needs to make a beer run. I support this so much that I have a "Beer O'Clock" teeshirt as well as one that actually says "beer run" on it. Sam doesn't want to go and is more than a little upset that everyone seems to be giving up so Dean takes Cass with him.

You-know-who agrees with Dean - it's over, it's miller time. Crowley's just upset because before the end you-know-who might become his step-father, which NOT LIKELY, but you know funny all the same.

Then we're back in London, and really this is in the finale. She better be awful damn powerful/important somehow because we've got a whole shit-ton of other stuff this episode could be doing/dealing with instead of some chick in London.

And Row and Who do bond a bit over naked kids. Again though Sam is upset that they are just sitting their asses. And Who says it literally doesn't matter because with his death the balance will be upset, so Sam says they have to kill Amara. Crowley is all like BINGO, but I'm still not sure that would work out like they think.

Sam finally gets them all on board and then Dean points out exactly how hard Amara is to kill. The Angels brought the thunder and it didn't kill her and then Team Chuck pulled their own brand of bringing the thunder and again failed. However, Chuck reveals a weakness she might have. And so they get on the subject of souls, and then they turn to ghosts because killing is wrong and all.

So they turn to a well known former nuthouse and for at least a hot minute I guess said nuthouse will be ghost free.

Amara is clearly not happy and there may be a hint or two that this whole thing might not be working out exactly like she'd wanted.

Dean and Sam are in the former nuthouse trying their hand at ghost collection, and honestly while this is more on topic than the London Look stuff I can't help feeling that this scene is taking more time than it should.

So while this scene wanted to be exciting I was a little bored until the very end when we see Billie who apparently watched this whole scene as well. Hard to know what she was thinking here, though.

The Angel's decide to take a pass because they think its hopeless and also something about dying with class or something.

Crowley's soul stash was jacked and then something weird happens and Reaper Billie comes strolling in. And she wants to know what the fuck they be doing cause souls are her business. So they tell her, and that turns out to be the correct decision, because as stated souls are her business.

Amara bonds with an old women who's is love with pigeons, and she is a wise old woman and I just want her to live. Damn it! You know. And I guess she does, though we don't see her again.

Back to Billie bringing in a couple hundred thousand souls.

Now they get all precious about hinting who needs to hold the bomb, but seriously we all watched the promos so we know where this is heading. And I'd be more worried about the fate of Dean, but again the show has been renewed and as far as I can find Jensen Ackles is indeed signed on for another season, so...

So Rowena inserts the souls into Dean. Apparently it is a wee bit painful, but should be enough to take out Amara.

London Look gets off a plane and then into a car and she's headed for the Bunker, but really she's gonna be too late if she's here to save the day, because at this point since the plan is already in motion. But wait! Dean and Sam are man-paining together, so yeah she'll probably get there and kill the Darkness before they finish.

You-know-who still doesn't want to kill Amara, but he understands needs must. Sadly, I think given a bit of time Amara might come around, but you know the world might die before that happens.

Dean says some stupid crap, but since he's dying we'll let him get away with it. I'm just not gonna repeat it here. Cause I can't.

Finally, Chuck zaps Dean to Amara while the rest of the gang head to a bar.

Dean confronts Amara, and it's a bit boring until Amara reveals that apparently this is it for even her. When brother dies so will she right along with literally everything else, so I guess that's what she was thinking about earlier.

So now instead of killing her, which granted since it seems everything is ending might not solve the problem, he's trying to talk her into talking with her brother. Dean gives a rousing speech about family and then asks her what she wants. Trouble is I don't think she knows at this point, which honestly all things considered is totally understandable.

Back at the bar Sam tries to be a happy camper, but it doesn't matter cause Amara zaps Chuck away. I believe this leads Sam to think you-know-who is dead.

Instead Amara and Chuck do talk. And I've got to admit this was a twist I honestly didn't see coming, because they do make peace. So like a million points to Supernatural for finally pulling off a twist that I didn't see coming. I mean, okay, maybe I should have, but given this show I figured they'd end up just killing her and him instead of actually following something like the shows own internal logic - being that for the world to stand both needed to be living.

And back at the bar the sun is up again. And I do believe Sam is assuming Dean is dead, but he's not, and since Chuck is now healed he removes the soul bomb from Dean.

So the siblings decide to go on a trip together and Dean wants to know what about us (and I'm pretty sure he means the royal us) and Chuck says it'll be fine because the world has Dean and Sam. And you know he might have a point - I think I'd be better than fine if I had my very own Dean and Sam at the ready for my pleasure, but you know maybe that's not what he means.

But but but London Look is in the Bunker banishing Cass and telling Sam that some old men want to talk to him and bashing him and I'm over her totally. She wants to know where Dean is, and I was right Sam thinks he's dead, and then she pulls a gun on Sam.

Just before Amara and Chuck depart for some family time Amara wants to give Dean something in thanks and so she arranges for Dean to have a confab with his mommy. But Dean doesn't see mommy right away - in fact the episode ends with Dean and mom staring at each other.

But before that Sam's in trouble again, though like Sam doesn't know Dean isn't dead Dean doesn't know Sam's in trouble. I think this might lead to Sam doing something stupid, because he kinda has a look of a man with nothing left to lose anyway. I love that look on him, really I do it makes me very happy if you know what I mean and I think you do.

But before Sam can do much of anything London Look shoots him. And I watched carefully she didn't like twitch the gun away from him, so one is forced to assume she did indeed shoot him (or simply wasn't aiming at him in the first place, but it certainly appeared as though she was aiming at him), and it would almost be a cop out if they add something like a twitch in when next season starts. But again I'm not worried about Sam's fate, because Jared like the other is signed for next season, or at least I've not seen anything to suggest he's not.

So this season ends with Sam being shot and Dean standing in front of his mother.

And that's it! This season is over.

And I think this may mean next season may end up being more about Men O' Letters, and I'm not sure how I feel about that (unless Dean and Sam kill London Look and all the creepy old men), but because of the way this episode played out even if I was unhappy/bored with certain aspects it made me happy and so I pronounce season eleven as good. Not to mention the episode itself, which had some weird/boring parts still came together and maybe this is just because it surprised me but whatever works.

Seriously though after last season almost totally drove me away from the show this season was a very nice change even if there was a few episodes/bits of episodes I didn't totally love.

I'm glad you liked it. I liked it, too. The ending did surprise me-- I didn't expect God and Amara to die, but I expected them to be locked away together for Eternity. The fact that the mega-battle failed and the reconciliation succeeded was great.

There were some things I didn't like. No introduction of Cass to God. That's one thing I was really waiting for, and it just never happened. And God didn't seem too concerned about the fate of Lucifer. These things made me wonder if a lot of stuff ended up on the cutting room floor, and I'm hoping it all shows up on the DVDs-- hopefully integrated into the episodes.

I did like the British interludes-- they had kind of an Avengers vibe-- but considering how much else needed to be done, like conversations between God and Cass and stuff, they really did suck up a lot of precious time. But it does leave me intrigued for next season. I've been wanting them to do more with the Men of Letters concept for a long time. And it's interesting that the Men of Letters even still exist, at least abroad-- no pun intended-- and that they are no more tolerant of Hunters than they ever were. I wonder if this will end up tying into that trip back to WWII.

And there are still many questions left unanswered, like are Lucifer and Megatron really dead, what will become of Heaven and Hell, and will God and Amara ever return (and will their changed relationship affect the universe at all). But we have at least one more season to find out.

But, yes, definitely a satisfying conclusion. I can't wait for this season to be out on DVD so I can watch those last four episodes all together.
