Daleks ahoy!!!

Pictures of the new daleks for Doctor Who can be seen here on The Sun's website.

I don't think I like it as much I was going to - I was hoping for a much more radical design. And the lights are all wrong. But I'm sure it will look better on screen - probably.

But I have to agree with Sparky. I would like to have seen them really redesigned.

Sure you can! There are lots of ways you can update their design and make them a hell of a lot scarier, while still holding true to their origins. I don't know, these new ones look pretty much like fancy versions of the Peter Cushing movie Daleks.

They look like Daleks so I am happy the fact is there are lots of alternet versions from the HWD to the Spider Dalek this is the classic and it has a lot more body detail. My faith is renewed in the show lets hope the kill Billy asap.

Awww, poor Billie... after watching the reruns on UK Gold I've decided it's an assistant's place to be irritating and therefore Billie will be perfect

(Also I feel sorry for her becuase she's only 22 and already failin a marriage)

I've heard this from several people I've spoken to. I wasn't sure until someone really explained to me who she was. I guess I'd feel the same way too if it was Jessica Simpson or Britney Spears in the role. :evil:

Maybe the Supreme Dalek is now jewel-encrusted.

He was in one episode, "Day of the Daleks." But that was the only time. Otherwise, the Supreme Dalek was always black.

The rank of Dalek later identified with the Dalek Supreme and originally simply designated as a "Black Dalek" served the role of an elite or commander Dalek. The Black Dalek made further appearances in Doctor Who serials (notably in The Daleks' Master Plan), but was superseded and replaced by the Dalek Emperor in the series The Evil of the Daleks.

During the third doctor's era, the Black Dalek appeared to have been replaced by a Gold Dalek (in The Day of the Daleks), but the rank returned and was now positively identified as the Dalek Supreme in Planet of the Daleks. In that instance, a movie-style Dalek in black and gold trim was used to represent a member of the Supreme Council of Daleks.
