We had a few hours sun this morning

And icy wind. Now it's warmer but is going to rain again any minute. Yesterday we had 2 hailstorms and quite a lot of rain. Maybe I should have sowed rice instead of spinach

Good evening, everybody.

I made out okay at the dentist. My dentist was actually on vacation, but they were able to replace the temporary filling. I go back in a month to see if the tooth can be saved or if I'll need a root canal or to have it yanked. I have a feeling that I will need an implant. :cry:

Today was a bright, sunny and very brisk Autumn day. It never got out of the 40s.

don't worry, Rick! If there is enough tooth left to put a filling in it, then there's definitely no need to pull it. A root canal at maximum, I'd say, and that is not much worse than a normal filling.

That's only too true. I went to bed at 8 the last two evenings and am still tired.
It's a lousy day! We have a storm warning and occasional rain showers and I just discovered that I tore my blouse at the elbow (fortunately it's the left one and when I sit at my desk you can only see the right one) and my blood pressure and heart rate are still a good deal too high from my unexpectedly discovering a photo of Peter Wingfield taking off his shirt *fans herself*

Hmmm I do have to admit that I am considering to buy a postcard sized copy of that pic... For medical emergencies only, of course :angel:

I wonder how his wife feels about sharing that view with all the world. I'm not sure whether if I were in her place I'd brag or be jealous. A bit of both, propably.
At any rate I'm fairly sure of what I'll dream tonight

Why is next week a short one as well in the US? Is it Turkey Day already? (I lost track of your public holidays.)

VERY windy - I finally gave in and replaced the screen with the storm window on in the bedroom door (I have a door that leads out to a landing above my kitchen)....snow tires are on so that's good and so that's that..

ALSO...today I will donate my 50th pint of blood!

Well, it's like anything else when you're a celebrity-- part of yourself is out in the world, whether it's your songs, or poetry, or novels, or your naked flesh.

I would hope that any significant others would be proud, but I'm sure a lot are jealous, especially when it comes to sexuality.

Why is next week a short one as well in the US? Is it Turkey Day already? (I lost track of your public holidays.)

That comes at the end of the month and will be a very short week. Next Monday is Veteran's Day. originally created to honor WWII vets, but now for anybody who ever served.

I never am. Either I have no reason, then it'd be foolish to be jealous, or I do have a reason and in that case I'll rather dump the guy. We Bavarians have a saying: another mom has a pretty child, too.

So the nurse who took my blood yesterday was awful! it hurt going in and later at night! If I had been donating for the first time I'd never go back! And she was so nice I didn't have the heart to report her. Don't know what to do now - they need blood....

anyway have a nifty blood drop - shaped pin with 50 in a maple leaf now. heh.
